Hi All –
It’s been 24 days since my last post and though there are many topics I’d like to blog about (ie DAX support in SSDT and SSMS, TMSL, M in SSAS vNext, etc) all I have for you is my updated feature docs for the March Power BI Desktop update.
That’s the bad news. Here’s the good news:
Power BI Book Project
- I’ve signed a publishing agreement to author a Power BI book.
- The book is targeted at BI professionals already familiar with the basics of the toolset.
- Expected publication date is in September
- 13 Chapters, 350 Pages
I’m of course very excited about this opportunity and I appreciate the confidence and trust expressed by the publisher. As mentioned previously the book will be my top priority so unfortunately Insight Quest blogs and essentially everything else becomes secondary. I may post 1-2 limited samples of the book content this summer and I may partner with several organizations on use cases and examples of the book’s material.
Boston BI
We’re going to have a very special guest on 4/25. Details will be shared at next week’s SSRS 2016 event and a new event will be posted with all the details – you’ll want to register quickly given limited room capacity. The speaker will also be presenting in NYC and Philadelphia around 4/27 and 5/1, respectively.
