Hi,
I’ve updated the blog topic schedule for the next few weeks. I’ll be publishing new posts every Sunday night.
In terms of content I’m going to refocus on SQL Server Analysis Services (Tabular only), SQL Server Reporting Services (2016+ only), DAX, and manageability and performance tuning. Next week’s post on Power BI Desktop and Excel 2016 will be the last on these tools for a while though they’ll often be used for visual and analytical support of the given topic.
One quick note:
- Although Excel 2016 was featured the past two weeks (Sample Model, New Charts) this doesn’t at all mean I recommend it ‘over’ PBI Desktop as a model and report authoring tool if Power BI Desktop is available (‘blessed’) at your organization, even if you’re new to Power BI Desktop (PBIX). There are many advantages to keeping the modeling in PBIX – I’ll blog about it Sunday.
